My name is Bernadette Hoste . In October 2008 I adopted a lovely little terrier from a rescue in Berkshire , the DBARC. I called her PRALINE as I love sweets and I already had 2 galgos ( Spanich greyhounds ) adopted in April 2007 which I named Caramel and Nougat ! She had been found in the streets somewhere in Ireland. She soon became a very important part of our family, taking the role of boss over the two other doggies. She was a very easy little girl (although far from being perfect! ) we could take everywhere. Everybody loved her and she even had her FAN Club on Facebook with members all over the world.
As she was so young when I adopted her, I envisaged having her with me for a long time. Sadly it wasn’t the case as she died on Sunday the 30th of May 2010. She died as she lived, curious, excited,… she slipped on rocks, felt in the river and drowned.
I was extremely sad to lose such a vibrant, full of live, loving pet. Cecile, my friend, came up with this idea : “ What don’t we organise a sponsor walk in her name ? “

This is how PRALINE’S WALK was born !
This is the first year we organise it and we hope to be able to do it every year, raising money for different causes.
This 2010 walk will raise money for two charities, the rescue where Praline comes from (please see the details in the DBARC page) and for a project in Buenos Aires where I work as a volunteer each year (see the page Las Travesuras).
